The winter lodge consists of two living units for an extended family connected with a carport. The building lies parallel to the sloping terrain, and reflects the local tradition of the long "Lån"-buildings.The south façade frames the magic view of the surrounding mountains. Specific care was taken to save the local vegetation during the building process. The roof, chimneys and retaining walls are clad with local slate, the walls inside and out are covered in untreated oak of large dimensions. The visible structure is made from solid oak.
