The building accommodates a gym, a small cafe and a sports hall for the nearby school. The section of the building breaks down the height of the building and allows for a covered outdoor area in the school yard. At the same time the shift of the section also logically relates to the layout of the interior. The pattern of the facades is created by different colours of fibre concrete sheets. The colour range reflects the colours of buildings in the surrounding town.
The main construction of the building is made of glue laminated wood, this was considered the most economical solution.
